The Philippines I know... teems with Unintentional Comedy

They are in the newspapers most of the time: the latter in the news section, the former in the society pages. On TV, they rarely go together. They should not. The Philippines I know… is a lot of fun

Hi there! Karen here. Welcome to The Philippines I know. Allow me to lay the foundation of my, uhm, online crib if you will, with a post about the renowned Pinoy humor. Yeah, the Philippines may be a Third World country, but its people have humor. It doesn’t cost much, and is almost a virtue here in the Philippines shared by the have and the have-nots, the young and the old.

Go through the rest of this post and you’ll see that Pinoy humor is not just any kind of humor, say in the mold of Chiquito or Dolphy or Tito, Vic and Joey (although we love them, especially Chiquito movies circa Lo-Waist Gang, make no mistake about that).
